Karl has established the KARL J. VOLK SCHOLARSHIP, to be given each June to one student from Poughkeepsie Central School District and one student from Spackenkill Union Free School District, who expresses an interest in furthering their study of art in college.
Karl is also engaged in discussion and study of the creation of an ART REPOSITORY, a place where artwork from Senior artists can be cleanly and securely stored, in a climate-safe location; viewed and purchased upon request; and be available as a teaching and exploratory lesson for future artists, visitors, and friends. Karl is seeking other donors and knowledgeable advisors, to help with the selection process.
